Integrated Livelihood Enhancement Project (ILEP)

The Integrated Livelihood Enhancement Project (ILEP) project is funded by the Australian Government through the Australian NGO Cooperation Program (ANCP) program and has been working in partnership with Transform Aid International (TAI) and is working with community members to develop lasting solutions to reduce poverty levels. The project aims to improve the livelihoods of 34,030 community members in Machakos and Kitui Counties by June 2029. This will be achieved through increasing access to water and enhancing adoption on proper hygiene and sanitation practices, Improving incomes of community members including the most vulnerable through agricultural production and diverse livelihood options, improving environmental conservation to mitigate effects of climate change, improving decision making and protection of vulnerable people (especially women, children, youth and PWDs) and enhancing capacity of community structures to deliver community development initiatives.   Project Partners Project Gallery

Green Business Project

The green business project is funded by Welthungerhilfe (WHH) through ADS Kenya and implemented by ADSE in Makueni County. The project aims at creating opportunities for 650 young people and women in rural of Makueni County by taking them for a green skills technical training, mentorship programmers, internships and placing them into the job market to either garner self-employment or become employed in different sectors as per the skills gained. The skills are inclusive of; post-harvest loss reduction, nutrition and food security, and value addition. The trainings will also include financial literacy, social life skills and group dynamics as per the project design.
