ADSE and ADS Kenya Partner with HPIC to Strengthen Maternal and Child Healthcare in Kitui

Anglican Development Services Eastern (ADSE) in partnership with Anglican Development Services Kenya (ADS Kenya), has facilitated the donation of essential medical supplies from Health Partners International Canada (HPIC) to strengthen maternal and child healthcare services at ACK St. Paul’s Syongila Clinic in Kitui County.

The donation comprises a range of medical supplies and commodities specifically intended to enhance Maternal and Child Health (MCH) services and improve access to quality healthcare for underprivileged communities within the clinic’s catchment area. The medical supplies were officially commissioned at ACK St. Paul’s Syongila Clinic by the Bishop of Kitui Diocese, The Rt. Rev. Gideon Muneeni, in the presence of Paul Mutinda, James Masila, Ven. Canon Muia, Francis Wambua -lab technician, Foustiner- Chief Officer, Mary Tama-clerk and Rev. Lydia Muithya and Samson Matata – ADSE marked and officially commissioned the handover of the supplies and reaffirmed the collective commitment of the Church and its partners to improving community health outcomes.

Speaking during the commissioning, the partners emphasized that the donated supplies are intended solely for patient care and are not for sale. The clinic’s management also committed to ensuring the supplies are utilized effectively and to providing a comprehensive utilization report to ADS Kenya, the Ministry of Health (MOH) and HPIC within three months of receipt.

The donation reflects the shared commitment of HPIC, ADS Kenya and ADSE to strengthening healthcare systems and expanding access to quality maternal and child healthcare services for vulnerable populations. Through strategic partnerships such as this, ADSE continues to support initiatives that improve the health and well-being of communitiesacross Eastern Kenya.
