Integrated Livelihood Improvement Project (ILIP)
Join Us We Need Your Help
The Integrated Livelihood Improvement Project (ILIP) project is funded by the Australian Government through the Australian NGO Cooperation Program (ANCP) program and has been working in partnership with Transform Aid International (TAI) and is working with community members to develop lasting solutions to reduce poverty levels. We believe in empowering people, thus the project begins by setting up community-based organizations (CBO), where community members can receive training and resources to start making changes in their own lives. The community members also work with local partners/government/counties to develop holistic community plans, which begins with them identifying the root causes of their problems and then mapping out the best ways of addressing them.
The project aims to improve the living conditions for 35,844 people in Kitui and Machakos counties in Lower Eastern Kenya since 2018 through capacity building initiatives and support towards diversifying their income sources, increasing water access and food security, improving hygiene and sanitation, environmental and natural resource management and establishment of functional and all-inclusive community-based structures.
