The Livelihood Improvement Project (LIP) receives funding from the Australian Government through the Australian NGO Cooperation Program (ANCP) program and has been working in partnership with Anglican Board of Mission (ABM/AID) to improve the livelihoods of the most vulnerable communities, making them more resilient to the effects of climate change and strengthening community institutions in Machakos and Makueni counties since 2009. ADSE has also been working closely with the Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK) in strengthening Anglican communities in their faith, especially amongst the children and youth to; increase water accessibility and safe hygiene environments in the target areas, increase crop and livestock productivity, enhance the capacity of the Community-based organizations to conserve the environment , increase household income, and increase CBO members knowledge on cross-cutting issues affecting the society for improved community cohesion and enhancement of service delivery .
